How engagements run, what you own, and what happens when either of us wants to stop.
This is a working template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer review it before you rely on it.
Engagements
Work begins on a written scope agreed by both sides. Retainers run for an initial ninety days and then continue month to month. Either party may end a rolling engagement with thirty days’ written notice.
What you own
Everything we produce for you is yours on payment: content, code, designs, and the data behind them. Accounts we create on your behalf — advertising, analytics, listings — are created in your name from the start, never ours. If we part ways there is nothing to hand back because it was never held.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee specific rankings, specific traffic figures, or specific revenue. Anyone who does is either misleading you or planning something that will get you penalised. We do commit to the scope, the reporting cadence, and telling you plainly when something is not working.
Your responsibilities
Timely access to the accounts and information we need, timely review of work sent for approval, and accuracy of anything you ask us to publish about your business.
Payment
Invoices are due within the period stated on them. Work may be paused on overdue accounts after written notice.
Liability
Our total liability under an engagement is limited to the fees paid in the three months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Platform decisions outside our control
Search engines and advertising platforms change their rules and enforce them at their own discretion. We work to published guidelines and will not knowingly breach them, but we cannot be liable for a platform’s independent decision about your account or listing.
Before you ask Send us a URL. You'll get back the technical issues, your AI-search readiness score, what competitors are doing that you aren't, and what we'd fix in the first ninety days.
Start with the audit. It's free and it's specific.
